How to Register a PayPal Personal Account & Link a Bank Card or Credit Card

1. Preparation

- Valid email address (not registered with PayPal before)

- Mobile phone number for verification

- Personal information (full name, address)

- Debit or credit card for linking

2. Create a Personal PayPal Account

- Go to paypal.com or open the PayPal app

- Click "Sign Up"

- Select "Personal Account"

- Enter your email, password, and personal details

- Agree to the terms and continue

- Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox

3. Verify Your Phone Number

- PayPal will send a verification code to your phone

- Enter the code on the PayPal page to complete phone verification

4. Link a Credit or Debit Card

- Log in to PayPal

- Go to "Wallet"

- Click "Link a card"

- Enter card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address

- PayPal will place a temporary small charge to verify the card

- Check your bank statement for a 4-digit PayPal code

- Return to PayPal and enter the code to confirm

- The temporary charge will be refunded or removed

5. Link a Bank Account (Optional)

- Go to "Wallet"

- Click "Link a bank"

- Enter your bank details

- PayPal may send two small deposits

- Check your bank statement and enter the exact amounts to verify

6. Recommended Settings

- Set a preferred payment method in Wallet

- Enable 2-factor authentication for security

- Review "Automatic Payments" under Payments settings

7. Tips

- Use a strong password

- Do not share verification codes with others

- Check regular transaction history
